What is a teaching Artist?

A teaching artist is an individual who partners with an art organization and works with school districts to create a special and unique art experience.  This can be for both visual and performing arts.

As a ceramic artist, I  partner with schools through the Perkins Center to plan and create mosaic murals.  Schools are part of the planning process and materials are budgeted into the project cost.

​

This experience will broaden your students' art education, creating a permanent piece of art for the district.

 

Creating large-scale art projects is fun, exciting, and rewarding for everyone involved.   Let's work together to design a mosaic or mural for your school!
